State Police open hotline for eyewitnesses to Dumas shooting


The Arkansas State Police says they have opened up a phone hotline for eyewitnesses to call and provide more information on the Dumas car show shooting on March 19.

The State Police say that there are a confirmed 27 individuals who wounded by the gunfire, including 23-year-old Cameron Shaffer of Jacksonville, who died at the Dumas hospital.

Among the wounded are five children ranging from 19 months to 11 years old.

The State Police’s criminal investigation division asks anyone who witnessed the shooting, or may have any information related to the incident to help identify a suspect or provide information on the events leading up to the shooting, to call 501-618-8850.

Should an incoming call go to voicemail, State Police ask that the caller please leave a message with the name of the caller and telephone number where they can be contacted at any time.
