The Pope County Sheriff’s Office has asked the Arkansas State Police Criminal Investigation Division to investigate the officer involved shooting. White’s body has been transported to the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory where it will undergo an autopsy.

Special Agents of the state police’s criminal investigation division will prepare an investigative file that will be submitted to the Pope County prosecuting attorney’s office, who will decide whether the use of deadly force by a law enforcement officer was consistent with Arkansas state laws.
