The Arkansas State Police is investigating the homicide of a 63-year-old Pike County woman.
The state police have dispatched special agents from their criminal division to ascertain to what happened to Theresa Humphry, whose body was found in her home this morning at 307 Billstown Road in Delight.
Pike County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the domicile and requested the help of the state police to help with the criminal investigation.
Police say that a 39-year-old man has been taken into custody and is being held at the Pike County Jail while the investigation continues throughout the evening.
Special agents from the criminal investigation division will submit information to the Pike County prosecuting attorney for consideration of formal charges.
Humphry’s body is being transported to the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory for determination of the manner and cause of death.
