
The Arkansas State Police says they are investigating the fatal shooting of a Clarendon woman that occurred on Friday night.
State Police say that the Clarendon Police Department notified them of the discovery of the body of a local woman on Saturday at around 12:45 p.m. Police say that 26-year-old Lilee Smith had been discovered by a family member at 416 Guydon Street.
Clarendon police requested special agents from the State Police’s criminal investigation division investigate the homicide. Smith’s body has been transported to the state’s crime laboratory where the medical examiner will determine an approximate time and death and provide agents with more information about the cause of death. Authorities say the investigation and search for a suspect is continuing.
