The Arkansas State Police says their criminal investigation division has arrested a suspect wanted for capital murder after a year-long investigation.
State Police say they have arrested 26-year-old Dilan U. Estes of Monticello, a former satellite TV installation technician, for capital murder. Estes is being held at the Bradley County Jail without bond.
The arrest is the culmination of an investigation that began on July 13, 2020, when 44-year-old Crissy Lee Jacks was found dead at her home at 322 Buck Fever Highway (U.S.-278) in Banks. Jacks was 44 years old.
Investigators believed that Estes had worked in Jacks’ home the day she was murdered. Police say that friends of Jacks became concerned after being unable to contact her.
The Bradley County Sheriff’s Department was asked to conduct a welfare check on Jacks, and deputies later discovered her body and asked the State Police’s criminal investigation unit to investigate.
