ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) — Marcus Semien drove in four runs, Chris Bassitt struck out eight over six innings and the Oakland Athletics earned a doubleheader split in Texas. Oakland won the nightcap 10-1 after the Rangers won the opener 5-2. The A’s had a seven-run second inning that chased Kolby Allard. Semien added a three-run homer in the fifth. Texas scored all of its runs in the opener with a five-run first. Those came on a three-run homer by Rougned Odor and a two-run shot by Ronald Guzman. That ruined the big league debut of Daulton Jefferies in the same game Texas lefty Wes Benjamin got his first big league win.
