
FAYETTEVILLE — The Arkansas Razorbacks swept the season opening doubleheader against the Eastern Illinois Panthers with a 15-7 win in game one and a 12-3 win in game two Saturday at Baum-Walker Stadium.
Sophomore Casey Martin led all Hogs hitters with five hits on the day, three of them coming in game one. Graduate senior Trevor Ezell and redshirt freshman Jacob Nesbit added four hits combined in the two games, their respective debuts as Razorbacks.

Former Greenwood Bulldog and freshman Razorbacks football quarterback Connor Noland completed nearly five innings as pitcher after striking out a team-high seven batters. Noland did not give up an earned run and allowed one walk.
Redshirt junior Isaiah Campbell gave up three earned runs in five innings, but managed to strike out five and did not surrender a walk.
Head coach Dave Van Horn earned his 17th consecutive Opening Day win in as many seasons with the Hogs. It was also the 25th consecutive season-opening win for the Razorbacks going back to 1995.
