
PRESCOTT, Ark. — The Prescott Police Department said that their officers and the Arkansas State Police arrested a Prescott High School teacher Tuesday morning for alleged sexual misconduct with a student.
Police said that 33-yearold Leona Nivens was arrested at her home and charged with sexual assault in the second degree.
Police said the arrest was made after a joint investigation conducted by the Prescott Police and state Police.
The alleged victim was a 15-year-old
Police said that they believe Nivens had improper sexual contact with a 15-year-old student.
Nivens has been placed on administrative leave by the Prescott school district and is pending the outcome of the investigation, the Prescott Police said.
