NPC Nighthawks sweep North Arkansas College

HOT SPRINGS, Ark. — National Park College (NPC) (15-12, 2-0) opened conference play with a convincing two game sweep over North Arkansas College Saturday.

In game one, NPC took an early lead and never looked back for a 9-0 win in five innings. Kacey Solida was the winning pitching throwing a one hit shutout over five innings. Allie Shero added a three-run home run in game one to help propel the Nighthawks to victory.

The Nighthawks won game two 11-3 in six innings. The Nighthawks’ bats were quiet early but then used a five run sixth inning to secure the inning. Kacey Solida came on in relief for starting pitcher Jadyn Hart. Solida shut the Pioneers down to help secure the win.
