Nighthawks split with University of Arkansas-Cossatot

HOT SPRINGS, Ar. — National Park College lost a key game in the conference standings Saturday after losing to the University of Arkansas-Cossatot, 87-82.

The Nighthawks slip to 15-6 overall and 3-2 in league play.

All five starters scored in double figures for NPC. Sayvon Traylor led the Nighthawks with 22 points, and Rodrique Massenet added 18. Jo Quarius Valrie scored 12, Kam Vick 11 and Garrett Powell 10.


Cossatot women fall to NPC

NPC’s women scored a thrilling 60-59 win over Cossatot. Kayla Richardson led the winners with 17 points, and India Atkins contributed 15.

The Nighthawks are schedule to be back in action Monday at the Kettle against Crowley’s Ridge College junior varsity.
