Mike McCarthy is making his debut as coach of the Dallas Cowboys a decade after leading Green Bay to a Super Bowl title. McCarthy doesn’t hide from high expectations a year after the Cowboys didn’t meet them, missed the playoffs and said goodbye to coach Jason Garrett. Offensive stars Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott could have a deep group of receivers in Amari Cooper, Michael Gallup and first-round pick CeeDee Lamb. Dallas made two win-now moves by adding Everson Griffen and Aldon Smith to help pass rusher DeMarcus Lawrence.
