
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Casey Martin jacked a leadoff home run in the first inning to spark the Arkansas Razorbacks to a 10-2 series-clinching victory over the Alabama Crimson Tide Sunday at Sewell-Thomas Stadium.
Arkansas plated four runs in the fourth inning and built an 8-2 lead over Alabama by the middle of the contest. The Hogs had five different batters collect two or more hits with Heston Kjerstad and Dominic Fletcher leading all hitters with three apiece.
Cody Scroggins went 5.0 innings with two runs allowed, one earned, three hits, and three strikeouts. The redshirt junior has now throw five-plus innings in each of his last three starts and hasn’t allowed more than three hits in either of those appearances.
After winning their first road series since 2017, Arkansas is now 20-4 overall with a 5-1 record in Southeastern Conference play.
The Razorbacks will take on the Missouri State Bears next with a 6:30 p.m. first pitch from Hammons Field in Springfield, Mo. Pregame will be at 6:00 on Caddo Country Radio 98.9 FM/670 AM.
