Knights rally past Harmony Grove Haskell behind Clark, Lawson

Senior Jace Clark ran for 205 yards and two touchdowns in the Knights' 22-19 win over rival Bismarck.

 

HASKELL, Ark. — Harmony Grove Haskell scored first and last, but sixth-ranked Centerpoint tallied 41 unanswered points in between to remain unbeaten with a 41-20 win over the Cardinals.

The host team drove 91 yards for a short scoring run with 5:20 left in the first quarter. The Cardinals marched 85 yards on their second possession for another rushing TD.

Clark scores twice in third quarter

Jace Clark ran for three touchdowns afterwards, and senior quarterback Josh Lawson three three TD passes, two to C.J. Fox. Kaden Owens hauled in a 9-yard scoring strike from Lawson to make it 14-14 with 4:30 left in the first half.

Centerpoint (3-0) exploded for 27 points in the third quarter to pull away. Clark scored twice on runs of 2 and 12 yards. C.J. Fox caught 39 and 55-yard TD passes.

The Knights are open next week.
