ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) — Joey Gallo hit a two-run homer and six Texas pitchers combined on a four-hitter in a 2-0 win over the Los Angeles Angels. The Rangers have consecutive wins for the first time this season. The slugger’s opposite-field homer to left-center came in the sixth off Angels starter Patrick Sandoval. Edinson Volquez, the first reliever after Rangers starter Kolby Allard’s five innings, got his first big league victory since 2017. It was his first win for the Rangers since 2007, before he was traded to Cincinnati for Josh Hamilton. All four of Gallo’s homers this season are off left-handed pitchers.
