The centerpoint varsity girls and boys team both won exciting victories in Genoa Tuesday night.
The girls won a hard fought game by playing great team defense particularly in the 2nd half pulling away for a 46-34 win. Jaide Vavre and Jasmine Keener led the way to victory.
Centerpont boys came back from 10-down to slay dragons
Thr varsity boys followed with a come from behind 63-41 win. Genoa streaked out to an early 13-3 lead midway through the 1st period. But the Knights defensed clamped down and the offense heated up outscoring the Dragons 60-28 the rest of the way. At one point Centerpoint forced 5 straight turnovers in the second half. It was an exciting night for Knight fans as both teams won in the nearly full Genoa gym.
The Knights senior girls and boys next game is at home Thursday night vs Harding Academy. The Kights play at Prescott on January 29th and on the road at Fouke on February 1st.
