LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — Arkansas reports the state’s COVID-19 hospitalizations increased by four to 666 on Thursday. The state has reported 1,072 new confirmed and probable coronavirus cases. The Department of Health said the state’s total cases rose to 109,712. Nineteen more people in the state died from COVID-19, bringing the state’s total fatalities from the illness to 1,894. Arkansas ranks 16th in the country for new cases per capita, according to figures compiled by Johns Hopkins University. The state has recently seen an outbreak of coronavirus cases in its Legislature, with 10 lawmakers testing positive over the past week and a half.
