Arkansas COVID-19 hospitalizations again rise to new high

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — Arkansas’ COVID-19 hospitalizations are continuing to climb to new record highs as 27 more people have died from the illness caused by the coronavirus. The Department of Health on Friday reported 13 more people hospitalized because of COVID-19, bringing the state’s total to 560. It’s the fourth day in a row that the state has set a record for hospitalizations. The state reported 1,530 people have died from COVID-19 since the pandemic began. Figures compiled by Johns Hopkins University show Arkansas ranks 9th in the country for new cases per capita.
