LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — Arkansas’ active coronavirus cases are continuing to rise as the secretary of state says the state Capitol is reopening next month on a limited basis. The Health Department said Wednesday at least 6,277 people in Arkansas have tested positive for the virus, an increase over the 6,180 reported Tuesday. Officials say 1,733 of those cases are active, meaning they don’t include people who have died or recovered. The number of deaths from COVID-19 has risen to 120. Secretary of State John Thurston announced Wednesday that the Capitol will reopen to the public for limited hours on weekdays.
