Knights Suffer Tough Loss Against Prescott Curly Wolves

The Centerpoint Knights were up against the Prescott Curly Wolves Friday in a battle of undefeated teams and the Curly Wolves dominated Centerpoint to open conference play 47-0. The Knights defense forced Prescott to punt on their first two possessions, but the Knights could get nothing going offensively with starting quarter back Owen Bright and Head Coach Carrey Rogers sitting out tonight’s game after being ejected from last week’s game against Mineral Springs.

The game’s first turnover was an interception returned for a touchdown by Prescott and was the start of 47 unanswered points in the final nineteen minutes of the first half. The Knights would only threaten to score once the entire game, turning it over on downs in the fourth quarter at the Prescott five-yard line. The Curly Wolves showed why they are defending state Champs and have been ranked number one in 3A the entire season so far. This is the first loss of the season for the Centerpoint Knights, and a tough one at that. Right now, the Centerpoint Knights are 0-1 in conference and 3-1 overall.
